This is an awesome picture frame! If you have ever set up an iPad or one of those cheap picture frame things from China, *this* is what you wanted in the first place. It doesn't glow at night. The colors are quite good. It's completely wireless and only needs to be recharged a couple of times a year. (Or plug it in and ignore it forever!) Even the software is pleasing to the touch. I can't wait until they come out with a larger version someday in the future!

Amazing. They're well made, look great, and the mobile and desktop apps are super easy to use. I bought four, and they look fantastic on my wall. In addition to this, Dustin has been fantastically responsive and helpful with regards to feature suggestions and support.
I wrote some software to display weather forecasts every 15 minutes on a Windows computer, and I needed some way to display those forecasts somewhere else besides the computer they run on. I tweaked my software to write out a screenshot of the weather as a JPG image, and then set up my Wallie to load and display that JPG, using the desktop Wallie software running on that Windows machine. It works perfectly! Even updating the JPG image every 15 minutes (but sleeping through the night), the Wallie's battery lasts about a month. I'm very happy!
Great product and app for the price! Definitely interested in getting more for family and friends.
Big beautiful pictures- now if they could fix the flickering transition and the lack of clarity around how photos are pulled from the library, it would be perfect
Hi there! Thank you for your kind words and valuable feedback! Yes, the flickering is a natural part of the e-ink process. It's the display cycling through its colors as it draws the new photo, and it takes about 30 seconds. Most people schedule their photo changes and never notice it: set a change for before you wake up or before you get home, and the new photo is simply there waiting for you. (Though some people tell us they love watching it, like a Magic 8 Ball surprise!)
On how photos are chosen: your frame plays the album you've given it. In the app, tap your frame to pick the photo order:
• Even rotation (the default): every photo shows once before any repeat.
• Shuffle: a surprise pick at each change.
Under Schedule you can set when and how often the picture changes, and play different albums at different times of day, like family photos in the morning and travel shots in the evening. You can also add photos to Up Next to play them first, or use Show on Frame to hold a favorite on the wall.
